True Dungeon
It started when Eric was attending Gen Con 2006 and happened to be walking past the True Dungeon area at the Marriott hotel. A bespeckled man in a Hawaiian shirt popped his head out of a ballroom door and said, “Hey, do you want to play?” Without hesitation, Eric said, “Yes!” and after surviving to tell the tale, he was soon telling Michael that he needed to play. True Dungeon is a combination of a haunted house, dungeon crawling RPG, and an escape room.
From that point forward, they played every year at Gen Con, saving their treasure which comes in the form of poker style chips that buff your character’s abilities. In 2016, they founded their own True Dungeon clan with other players who have become lifelong friends.
Since then, True Dungeon has expanded to other conventions including Origins and Game Hole Con. They even created a virtual version of the game so players all over the world could experience the fun. Today, Eric and Mike still enjoy playing True Dungeon, slaying monsters, solving puzzles, and roleplaying as their characters. To learn more about True Dungeon visit https://truedungeon.com/
